A golf performance and teaching centre featuring a state-of-the-art Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), the first of its kind in the Caribbean, will open at Apes Hill Golf & Beach Club in Barbados in January 2022.
Utilising the latest technology and a science-based approach, Apes Hill’s Golf Performance and Teaching Centre will evaluate every aspect of a player’s game to perfect their swing and unlock their full potential.
Apes Hill has worked with experts Dave Phillips and Tim Cutshall in designing and fitting the centre. Key features will include a specialised swing analysis teaching bay with a PuttView ball tracking green and an agnostic club fitting system with trackman technology.
Currently undergoing a £30m renovation, Apes Hill Golf & Beach Club is relaunching under new ownership with a mission to be “the best golfing experience in the Caribbean.” The project is being led by a world-class team including renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby whose career spans countless elite courses across the globe including the Old Head in Ireland.
Apes Hill will have a fully renovated 18 Hole, Par 72 championship golf course, with a 19th Hole being added as a bit of fun, modelled after the 17th Hole at TPC Sawgrass in Florida that features an island green. In addition, there will be a new Par 3 course with a relaxed dress policy where guests can play in flip flops, should they wish, as well as a driving range and short game practice area.
Set in 470 acres at 1,000 feet above sea level in the north west of Barbados, Apes Hill enjoys an enviable location with views across both the west and east coasts. Scattered throughout the development is a growing collection of luxury homes which are available for sale.
