After huge success with Cabot Cape Breton in Canada’s Nova Scotia, the Cabot brand is now turning its attention to the Caribbean with the launch of the Cabot Saint Lucia golf resort in 2022.
Situated on Point Hardy, a spectacular 375-acre peninsula on the northern tip of the Caribbean island, the master planned resort community is surrounded by raw, untouched natural beauty.
Described as “magnificent” by Golf Business News, the resort will feature an 18-hole golf course designed by Coore & Crenshaw and a collection of residences ranging from hillside townhouses to expansive single-family homes and beachfront lots.
Health and wellness will be a major focus of the Saint Lucia development, with a beach club, spa and fitness facility, steam and sauna, and sports programme on offer. With no personal vehicles on the resort, there will be bicycles, golf carts and other club transportation for guest use. The addition of 40 luxury guest accommodations offering one-, two- and three-bedroom suites will enable visitors to enjoy the stunning location, beach facilities, restaurants and the golf course.
Launching in 2022, Cabot Saint Lucia will be the second property in Cabot’s portfolio. After launching its first phase of real estate in late 2020, land sales have exceeded $100m, and the first phase of sales have fully sold out. Ben Cowan-Dewar, co-founder and CEO of Cabot, said: “The demand exceeded our wildest expectations. Product releases that we expected to take months sold in days.”
After Saint Lucia, the next opening for the Cabot brand will be in 2024 with Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Canada. Positioned between the snow-capped mountains of British Columbia and the meandering Columbia River, the resort will feature world-class golf, amenities, private residences, and a hotel. The mountain-style real estate will offer proximity to the golf course as well as ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes.
Cowan-Dewar added: “We are committed to our mission of creating exceptional golf resorts that serve as the backdrop for unforgettable experiences, while supporting the communities in which they are based.”
