Snowsport Scotland & England sign new Partnership with the High Tatras & Liptov regions of Slovakia

Snowsport Scotland and Snowsport England have announced a new partnership with the High Tatras & Liptov regions of Slovakia for the forthcoming winter season, which will bring the destination into focus for UK clubs, athletes and the recreational snow sports community, offering an exciting and affordable opportunity for winter holidays and training camps.

The Slovak Tatra mountains are a relatively unexplored area for Brits, however they offer several world-class ski resorts, exceptional value for money and the very latest technology in lift infrastructure.

The region hosts the Alpine World Cup and boasts a season that can run right through to May. Flights with WizzAir and Ryanair, from UK airports start from as little as £15 with transfer times from the nearest airport to some ski resorts can take only 10-15 minutes.

Snowsport Scotland CEO Iain Ramsay-Clapham said: “We are delighted to have secured this partnership which will bring more funds into Snowsports and provide exclusive offers and discounts to our members, athletes and the broader UK Snowsports community, to access this exciting and affordable destination.”

Región Vysoké Tatry, Executive Director Lucia Blaskova said: “The UK winter-ski market is very important to us and one we wish to grow, especially with expanded airlift from the UK. This new partnership will help us reach the right audiences and build awareness of our first-class ski areas, products and services.”

This partnership was brokered on behalf of Snowsport Scotland and England by The Winning Tape Ltd. Implemented with financial support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Slovak Republic.
