Horse racing: Dubai World Cup 2025

The Dubai World Cup, recognised worldwide as one of horse racing’s most prestigious events, will take place on Saturday 5 April 2025 and features a total prize purse of $30.5m. 

Hosted at the iconic Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, the 29th edition will be staged a week later than previous years, forming the culmination of a week of Eid Al Fitr celebrations across the UAE. A highly anticipated event on both the sporting and social calendars, the event combines top-tier racing with world-class entertainment, fashion, and hospitality. 

Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Racing Club, said: “The Dubai World Cup is one of the best-established sporting and social events of the year in Dubai. This incredible race meeting has grown year on year, since its 1996 inception, and we look forward to welcoming the best horses, jockeys, trainers and owners from around the world to Meydan Racecourse.”
