The 2024-2025 PDC Paddy Power World Darts Championship, the biggest event in darts, will be held at Alexandra Palace in London, England. It will start on 15 December 2024 and conclude with the final on 3 January 2025.
Organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), 96 of the world’s best darts players will compete for the coveted Sid Waddell Trophy. Luke Humphries is the defending champion after beating Luke Littler 7-4 in the 2024 final at Ally Pally.
Humphries will begin his defence on the opening night of the 2024-2025 tournament, with the schedule of play for the first and second rounds now finalised. The pre-Christmas period in the sport’s showpiece event will see the first and second rounds played across nine days from 15-23 December. The first double session at this year’s World Darts Championship will take place on Monday 16 December.
The second round will conclude across two sessions on Saturday 23 December. Following a three-day Christmas break, the third and fourth rounds will be held from 27-30 December, with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final taking place from 1-3 January.
