SwimTrek has launched its first swimming holiday packages to the Philippines.
Based at the luxurious Miniloc Island Resort, this guide-led trip will explore the north-western reaches off the coast of Palawan Island.
With waterside accommodation, its own house reef and breathtaking lagoons, after a day swimming guests can enjoy the perfect place to relax or try additional watersports such as paddleboarding, snorkelling and kayaking.
SwimTrek product manager Daniel Le Merle said: “After the amazing feedback following our first Vietnam and Indonesia SwimTreks, we had to find more world-class swim destinations in South East Asia.
“We know that SwimTrekkers love those more remote, idyllic swim spots and so we chose the Bacuit archipelago. Just off El Nido, on Palawan island, are a group of islands with steep karst cliffs similar to those we swim around in Vietnam.
“The waters here are clear and warm and we found the most amazing little resort nestled under towering limestone cliffs, topped by mops of lush green and fringed by a colourful coral house reef. We knew that this had to be the next SwimTrek destination.”
SwimTrek trips to the Philippines run from October 2019 and prices begin from £2,100pp based on a shared room.
Packages include fully guided swimming tours, six nights accommodation and all meals. Flights and alcoholic beverages are not included.
