Expat Sport launches Dubai hotel experience for football fans during World Cup

Sports tourism agency Expat Sport has announced details of Dubai’s first hotel experience exclusively for football supporters. Taking place from 21 November to 18 December, to coincide with the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, the “Football Fans Dubai Experience” is for supporters wanting to base themselves in the United Arab Emirates during the tournament. The package includes daily flights to Qatar for guests attending the games, free shuttle buses to Dubai fan zones and a convenient, on-site sports bar to watch the matches. The first ever Fifa World Cup to be held in the northern hemisphere winter will take place in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. A total of 32 nations will compete in the tournament, which starts with the group stage (eight groups of four) from 20 November to 2 December. The round of 16 is from 3-6 December, the quarter-finals on 9-10 December and the semi-finals on 13-14 December. The 2022 Fifa World Cup final will be held at the Lusail Stadium in Doha on Sunday 18 December. To mark the two-year countdown to the kick-off of football’s biggest tournament Qatar Airways has revealed a specially-branded Boeing 777 aircraft painted in Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 livery.  Qatar Airways is the official partner and official airline of world football’s governing body Fifa and its Boeing 777-300ER has entered service operating flights QR095 and QR096 between Doha and Zurich.  Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group chief executive, said: “We are tremendously excited to celebrate our partnership with Fifa and Qatar’s status as host of the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 by introducing this unique aircraft to our fleet.
