Major League Baseball (MLB) returns to London in June 2024. The MLB World Tour: London Series 2024 will see the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies go head-to-head in two regular-season matches on 8-9 June at the London Stadium. From 7-9 June 2024, the MLB London Series: Trafalgar Square Takeover will return, bringing the best of baseball to one of London’s most iconic locations. Major League Baseball: 2023 MLB All-Star Week Seattle

The Seattle Mariners’s T-Mobile Park will be home to 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Week from 7-11 July.  Events taking place during All-Star Week include the HBCU Swingman Classic (7 July), MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game (8 July), SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game (8 July), MLB Draft (9 July), T-Mobile Home Run Derby (10 July), and the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard (11 July). There will also be additional festivities held throughout Seattle, including the Capital One Play Ball Park at Lumen Field and the Lumen Field Event Center from 8-11 July.  T-Mobile Park is considered to be one of the nicest ballparks in the MLB. MLB London Series 2023: Cardinals vs. Cubs and Trafalgar Square Takeover

Major League Baseball (MLB) returns to London in June 2023 with St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs facing off for a two-game series in the UK’s capital city. Taking place at the baseball-configured London Stadium, the games will be held on 24 and 25 June.  When asked about the London Series, Cubs pitcher Marcus Stroman said: “Sick. Unreal. Honestly, London is on my bucket list. It's one of those cities that I'm going to hit when I'm done playing the game. Obviously, I travel a ton. But playing baseball, I'm not necessarily wanting to go to in November or the winter time, so I'm glad we get to get there in the summer. I've had a lot of friends who go to London all the time, and they have nothing but great things to say. Expanding the game to greater regions, that’s great for MLB.”  ...

MLB Home Run Derby X London

Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby X will be held in London’s Crystal Palace Park on Saturday 9 July 2022. The competition will feature four historic franchises: the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. According to the MLB, each team will include a former player (Legend), a softball or women's baseball star (Superstar), a player from that region's local development system (Rookie), and an influential content creator (Wild Card).  A full day festival experience, the event will feature interactive baseball-inspired activities, ballpark food, fashion and gaming alongside four Home Run Derby X games. MLB London Series 2020 cancelled: St Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs matches are off

The 2020 Major League Baseball (MLB) London Series has been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.  St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs were scheduled to go head-to-head at the London Stadium in June but the two matches are now off.  MLB has confirmed that ticket holders will receive a full refund.  A statement said: “As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mitel & MLB Present London Series 2020 has been cancelled.  “The decision has been taken in line with the UK Government’s actions stopping public gatherings and the need to focus emergency services resources on combating the pandemic.  “While we understand that this news is disappointing, we are faced with an unprecedented situation worldwide and nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our players, e...

MLB World Series to generate $6.5m economic impact for Washington DC

Washington Nationals’s qualification to the 2019 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series is set to generate a $6.5m economic impact for Washington DC. Destination DC (DDC), the official destination marketing organisation for the US capital city, has announced that the impact will come from two World Series home games against the Houston Astros on Friday 25 October and Saturday 26 October.  Both matches will be played at Nationals Park in the Capitol Riverfront neighbourhood in south-east DC with the potential of a fifth game on Sunday 27 October. “The World Series is an amazing opportunity for the Washington Nationals, their fans and the economic impact for the nation’s capital,” said Elliott L.
